Before the installation, the household’s electricity expenses averaged around $250 per month, mainly due to air conditioning, kitchen appliances, lighting, and other daily loads. The customer wanted a solution that could significantly reduce utility costs while maintaining power availability during outages.
After evaluating the household’s energy consumption, a 10kW Residential Solar System was selected as the ideal size. The customer also requested a large battery backup system to maximize solar self-consumption and provide reliable nighttime and emergency power.
Installation Process
After finalizing the system design, the rooftop mounting structure was installed and aligned to achieve optimal solar exposure. A total of 17 Amerisolar 600W solar panels were then securely mounted and interconnected, creating a 10.2kW PV array. Particular attention was given to cable management, waterproof protection, and structural stability to ensure long-term reliability under the Philippines’ tropical weather conditions.
The next stage involved the installation of the Sunflx SH-S8K Hybrid Solar Inverter, which serves as the core energy management unit of the system. The inverter was configured to intelligently manage power flow between the solar array, household loads, battery storage, and the utility grid.
